BIOGRAPHY

Bob focuses on the core aspects of wealth building and preservation: business, estate planning, and real estate. He primarily spends his day guiding clients through business formations and operations. His business clients receive a broad range of advisory and transactional services, including shareholder and board actions, contract negotiations and drafting, stock plans and buyouts, and corporate clean ups. He takes a particular interest in entity formation and capital structures, especially start-ups, holding companies, and multi-tiered arrangements utilized for liability protection. Bob’s estate and family business planning services center upon utilizing planning tools, such as wills and trusts, to bring clients’ long-term vision for their families and businesses to fruition. Additionally, he represents executors and trustees as they carry out someone else’s final wishes and navigate the complexities of probate or trust administration. In his real estate practice, Bob represents clients throughout the entire acquisition/disposition process, as well as provides guidance on development projects and reassessment issues, with a particular emphasis on utilizing legal entities for real estate liability protection.

Before “settling down” to practice law at his prior firm out of Fresno, California, Bob led a much different life. He has extensive experience throughout the United States, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe. He is an expert and published author on international human trafficking issues, including stints with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria, and International Justice Mission in the Philippines. He assisted with the inception and operation of a California-based construction joint venture in Afghanistan (4C Global). Finally, he served in research, policy, and communications roles for numerous national-level political campaigns, including Presidential campaigns, a U.S. Senate campaign in Florida, a U.S. House campaign in Georgia, and a Parliamentary campaign in London.

Coming from a line of cowboys and teachers originating from “the ranch” in Elderwood, California, Bob is a country kid at heart. He was born and raised outside Visalia, California, near the high school where his dad taught and coached for many years. Bob lives in Visalia with his wife Kristin and their daughter. He spends his time outside the office collaborating on personal commercial development projects with his older brother or being incessantly criticized for how long it takes him to choose what to watch on Netflix.
